The first sentence of the Southern Utah University Mission states: Southern Utah University, as our founders envisioned, is a dynamic teaching and learning community inspired by its UNIQUE NATURAL SURROUNDINGS.
To accomplish this Mission the university has determined it will "harness and integrate" these world-renowned outdoor locations into the educational experiences.
Awesome!
So with all this talk and focus on getting students and classes outdoors there needs to be a way to teach the Utah, Arizona and Nevada communities about safety and ethics in the outdoors.
So, mark your calendars for the Recreate Responsibly Day at Southern Utah University.
Land management offices, recreation businesses, retailers and more from around southern Utah, eastern Nevada, northern Arizona are coming to tell about how to get outdoors safely and responsibly.
We all want these lands to last for generations, and we all want to enjoy them. Come learn how on SUU's campus.
